A few weeks ago when we were canning the last of the year's cucumber crop, the preservation pals were contemplating what we would be working on this winter. With the apples done and the cherries long gone, the time for canning seemed to be over.

Both Preservation Grace and Preservation Shell love sauerkraut and thought it would be an excellent winter project. This little baby is going to make it happen:
